Terra Madre Mother Earth Day Celebrations event organized by Istinye University Fine Arts Design and Architecture Faculty Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Department and Vocational School Cookery Program; was held at Istinye University Topkapı Campus on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 with the participation of Slow Food Turkey Konvivium member Erman TOPGÜL and TAŞPAKON Istanbul Association President Aytekin TİTİZ.
Making the opening speech of the event, Istinye University Rector Prof. Melih BULU drew attention to the food industry, which changes shape in today's production conditions. He stated that importance should be given to the issue of cooking locally and naturally prepared food, which emerged as an alternative to the fast-prepared food habit. Erman TOPGÜL, who gave general information about Terra Madre, gave information about the events held around the world. The event, where Aytekin TİTİZ gave a seminar and shared his professional experiences with the students, continued with the students of the Gastronomy and Culinary Arts & Vocational School Cookery Program introducing products specific to their region.
