She works in the field of Architectural Theory. Her research is mainly based on the interrelation between modernity and dwelling practices. She received her B.Arch. from Mimar Sinan University, M.Arch. from Yildiz Teknik University, and a doctorate in Halic University with the thesis titled “A Modern Dwelling Problematic: Non-Homes of The World and Turkey”. Her scholarly interests include housing economics, informal dwelling practices, and homelessness. She continues her theoretical studies on working culture and idleness.
