Peer Counseling

Peer Counseling Program

Peer Counseling Program is a program that facilitates the adaptation process of newly arrived Istinye students to our university and department, and enables peer counselors to gain and develop skills such as communication, coaching, problem solving, organization and team building.

Every 1 student from the upper classes selected as a result of the application and interview, after receiving peer counseling training, becomes a peer advisor to a maximum of 10 new students from the first grades.

Istinye students who are new to our department regularly meet with their peer advisors throughout an academic year and receive support on many issues such as benefiting from the knowledge and experience of their peer advisors, non-university professional activities, course selection, coursework and layout, and campus life. The new Istinye students, who will come together and receive support from the first day of the university's opening, will have a successful academic term with the foundations of a good friendship.
